Jacque Lasseigne Named as St. Thomas More Catholic School Distinguished Graduate

St. Thomas More Catholic School is proud to honor Jacque Lasseigne as this year’s Distinguished Graduate. This award is presented for outstanding personal, professional and community achievements. Throughout his life, Jacque serves as a witness to the values that Catholic schools profess. In recognizing Jacque as a Distinguished graduate, we emphasize those qualities that make Catholic schools give meaning and purpose to life.
Mr. Lasseigne has been actively involved in St. Thomas More Catholic Church and School through his service on numerous committees and activities. Dr. Armstrong stated that “Jacque is always willing to help our school any time we call upon him, no matter what the call. He willingly agrees to serve on board committees and assist our students in designing major co-curricular projects. He life models the values of our Catholic education.” He is actively involved in STM Church through his previous and on-going services on the Pastoral Council, Building and Maintenance Committee, Ad Hoc Parish Planning Committee and by directing the 5K Festival Road Race. Jacque remains involved with STM School by serving a Future City Engineer Mentor for several student teams and through his service as Chair of the STM School Board’s Facility Improvement Committee. He continuously gives back to his community through serving as a member of the STM Bishop Ott Shelter meal service team.
Jacque states that “a well-rounded education by quality instructors, grounded in the Catholic faith is the best gift a parent can give their children.” Jacque is married to Cheri and they have two daughters, Emily and Allison, who are also graduates of St. Thomas More Catholic School. He is a Professional Engineer with Wardlaw and Lasseigne, LLC.
Jacque will be honored at a banquet on January 29, 2008 celebrating Catholic Schools Week, January 28 – February 3. The theme for this year is “Catholic Schools: Light the Way.”
